The head of our home

I was struggling to think of a Father's Day card for my husband, when I remembered that I did have a skull stamp, in my nevermore set from a•muse studio.  It's a very gothic/Halloweenish set, but my husband rides a Harley and has tons of tshirts with skulls on it, so this is more representative of him than your usual fishing/golf motif.

The metallic background is cut from a sheet of newspaper that was under a project my husband was spray-painting - I'm sure he will recognize it.  The nevermore stamp set doesn't have wings, but it does have a raven, so I stamped the raven twice, once using a mirror image stamp, and cut the wings off the raven.  The orange accents are a Harley Davidson color .  This is the inside of the card:
It is very much my husband's style.

    How cool !!
    My soon to be son-in-law LOVES skulls.
    My daughter says she respects his love of skulls but he can have no skulls at the wedding. I have been trying to find a tiny skull that I can incorporate into his boutanierre. (spelling?)
    I was thinking of a snap dragon in amongst the other flowers with a tiny skull drawn on it. Snapdragons sort of look like skulls anyway, don't they? LOL

    Love the story behind this. I was so amused at the 'metallic' paper. Waste not want not, and it makes it so personal to your hubby. Great image. Great card

    Great card- and a very creative way to make the wings! As an ICU nurse for many years, I am not fond of skull images.... Love your metallic recycle bg and the touch of orange on your card. I always love cards that are truly personalized : )
