Heiroglyph Horse

When I first read about the Fabrilayer technique in my Technique Junkies newsletter, I had to try it immediately. I grab the first scrap of fabric I could get my hands on, which happened to be this red and gold polo pony pattern. The technique worked great, but what was I going to do with the polo pony paper? That was about 6 months ago, and the paper has just been sitting on my shelf.

About a month after I made the Fabrilayer paper, I was stamping at my friend Chris's house, and I remembered she had this set, Heiroglyph Horses. I don't even like horses, but it occurred to me that they might go well with the polo pony paper, so I asked her if I could stamp a sheet of images. Chris lets me do anything, so she agreed, which isn't a great way for her to sell me stamps, but is a great way to keep me buying stamps from her, even when I don't need any more.

So, you see, I have had the components sitting in my crafting area for a while, unused, and the trims besides, but it wasn't until I saw the Caardvarks sketch that I figured out how to put them together. That horse fits perfectly in a two inch circle punch!

I made six of these for the Technique Junkies ATC swap.

I still had some horses left, So I looked around to see what else I could pair them with. I went back to my favorite paper pad, Rustic Chic, and found these two patterns together on one sheet - I love how TAC does that!

This is the TechnoStamper sketch challenge for this week.
